We spent last weekend camping in western NC near Blowing Rock. By camping, I mean, we slept on the ground, inside a tent, and did not shower. There was lots of exploring and no cell phones. It was wonderful! From our canoe on Price Lake we could see Grandfather Mountain and where it met the clouds. From the top of Grandfather Mountain we could see Price Lake. It’s worth mentioning, that Grandfather Mountain is 1 mile above sea level. There’s animal exhibits, a museum, a cafe and incredible views!
Even on a hazy day the view from atop Grandfather Mountain is impressive. The Blue Ridge Mountains never disappoint.
I quickly snapped 2 pics of the mile high swinging bridge and then safely tucked my iPhone away for fear of dropping it off a cliff.
